The 107 Glenwood Street Renovation
This is a Dutch Colonial home built in 1900.  It has an original Carriage House which eventually became a garage. There were 4 small bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an unfinished attic.  It sustained damage from a fire in the 1990s.

Of the original home, only part of the exterior frame, and some of the floor joists remain; everything else was replaced in our extensive renovations.  There are now 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a master suite, a roof deck, a rear deck, new landscaping, and the carriage house is now the FEWorks Workshop & Studio.

The interior & exterior architectural designs are by FEWorks, with assistance from Matthew Langis.  Most of the interior and exterior work has been done by FEWorks.

Before & After:

This property is in the final stages of a 4-year total overhaul.  It is a Design-Build renovation by FEWorks.

Before & After:

The Carriage House on the left is the new FEWorks Worksop & Studio.

Before & After:

A roof deck was built on top of the sunroom.

Before & After:

The original carriage house is now the FEWorks Workshop & Studio.

Before & After:

The south-facing sculptural facade was a time-consuming installation.  The shadows change constantly with the movement of the sun.

Before & After:

The FEWorks second floor studio has ample room for painting and finishing work.  It has a full bath.

Before & After:

The rear entryway became a first floor bathroom.  A deck was added.

Before & After:

The columnar white pines we planted in 2016 have more than doubled in height.

Before & After:

The back yard landscaping features a fish pond and patinated copper trellises.  The water comes out of the side of the FEWorks Workshop & Studio.

Before & After:

The living room had subtle changes to the floor plan and windows.  The fireplace was not centered in the room, so a custom DesignBuild mantelpiece, a wood-burning insert, and quartzite were installed, making it a true centerpiece.

Before & After:

Two small bedrooms became the master bedroom.  There is a new roof deck accessible by french doors.  A third bedroom became the master bathroom, which completes the master suite.

Before & After:

There is a unique "walk-in closet".

Before & After:

The master bathroom has a large walk-in shower, double vanities, and lots of storage.

Before & After:

The only original bathroom is now a spa-like bathroom with a steam room and bamboo cabinetry.

Before & After:

The second bedroom is much larger without the closet. The gambrel eave was exposed and made into a closet.

Before & After:

The third bedroom is an office.  The fourth bedroom is in the newly finished attic floor.
